Another Win for NVAA Landlords!

Dear NVAA Community,

This week, you may have seen the news that the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development has implemented the id.me system in the 20 days remaining of the RRP Program. This action negatively affects all landlords' abilities to submit RRP applications in a timely manner, but also adds a layer of complexity for tenants to apply for funds.

It is with great pride and excitement that I announce the id.me system has been disabled! This change was brought about by the NVAA Board Members sending a letter to the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development advocating for the system to be turned off.

This is yet another example of the work NVAA performs on your behalf.

Don't forget to register for the Legislative Update & Trade Show which will take place on May 25th. Lobbyist Chip Dicks will join us at The Virginia Tech Campus in Ballston to provide a recap of the laws that will be going into effect on July 1, 2022.

If you have not received the announcement regarding id.me, please review it below.

Virginia Rent Relief will no longer require sign-in using ID.me

Due to the recent announcement about the Virginia Rent Relief Program (RRP) application portal closing to new applicants on May 15, RRP will no longer be requiring the use of ID.me to access the rent relief application portal.
