I joined the property management division of Dittmar 22 years ago.  From the onset, I knew that the NOVA multi-family housing community was unique.  Why, because of the transient nature of our area, the diversity of the residency, the abundance of housing options and the fact that NOVA was well insulated from the ups and downs of the economy.  In order for me to be an effective part of the Dittmar team, I needed to learn from others in the field and to develop a group of peers who would be having shared experiences.

I found all of that in NVAA.  In fact, many of my Dittmar colleagues were not only members of NVAA, but had been leaders in the organizatoin. because they too believed in all the NVAA had to offer.

To get the most from NVAA, you need to give your time and support and I assure you that you will get back industry knowledge, new found or additional business, and develop strong professional ties.  I know I have.

NVAA IS BUILT ON 3 PILLARS:

ADVOCATE!

NVAA protects and represents our members’ interests in legislative and regulatory issues at the local and state levels. Our owner members view our legislative representation as one of the most valuable NVAA member benefits. To that extent, we dedicate a substantial portion of our annual budget and our committee efforts toward representation on the legislative level that furthers our member’s interests.

EDUCATE!

NVAA provides timely and valuable educational offerings for all levels of your organization, from facilities to executives. Your staff will be supported with the training and education required for companies to stay competitive in today’s multi-family marketplace. These educational offerings will develop and retain high-quality professionals and foster tomorrow’s apartment industry leaders.

ELEVATE!

Provide your company with exposure within the multi-family industry that is paramount to attract and retain the most talented employees. Your company will also have routine contact with industry experts who will provide valuable insights on how to improve your company’s performance.

NVAA social events and holiday celebrations can augment or replace your company events. Strengthening your company’s organizational bonds is critical to business success, but can be very costly. The NVAA provides a variety of events where you can bring your company together in an extremely cost-effective way and bolster your organization’s spirit.

Our members represent all facets of the multi-family housing industry; apartment owners, management executives, developers, builders, investors, property managers, leasing consultants, maintenance personnel, service providers, and related business professionals throughout Northern Virginia.
